USA: In Noblesville, a spirited crowd of nearly 200 people — many accompanied by their dogs and other pets — filled the course for the 9th annual Strut to Save Lives. Organized by Indy Donor Network, the event unfolded as a public celebration and rallying cry for organ and tissue donation and transplantation, turning a community walk into a vivid reminder of lives saved and lives still waiting.

The Strut put organ and tissue donors at its center, honoring local racing icon Bryan Clauson, the Noblesville-born IndyCar driver who died following a crash in Kansas in 2016. Clauson’s decision to donate transformed tragedy into rescue, enabling transplants that extended and renewed other people’s lives — a powerful testament to the real-world impact of donation.

Beyond remembrance, the event had a practical mission: proceeds from the Strut support living donors by helping cover expenses that can make donation more feasible. Organ and tissue transplantation often depends on the generosity of both deceased and living donors; the funds raised aim to ease financial burdens for those who step forward to give a kidney, part of a liver, or other lifesaving tissue.

The day blended emotion and purpose, spotlighting the roles of donors, recipient families, volunteers and Indy Donor Network staff with respect and admiration. As participants walked through Noblesville, the message was clear and urgent — transplantation saves lives, community support sustains donors, and every contribution at events like this moves the needle for patients awaiting the next miracle.
