Mobile Network 24 (MN24) has announced the appointment of Michael Lollo as its Chief Strategy Officer. A dedicated advocate for organ donation, Michael is a non-directed living kidney donor who previously served as president of the National Kidney Donation Organization (NKDO) and most recently held the position of Chief Strategy Officer for the National Kidney Registry (NKR). His unique background also includes 21 years as a Detective in the NYPD, where he focused on planning and safeguarding diplomatic visits.
Brian Smith, Founder and CEO of MN24, expressed excitement over Michael’s joining the team, stating, “Michael embodies the same sense of service that we pride ourselves on at MN24.” In his new role, Michael will be responsible for overseeing the company’s growth in ground and air logistics services related to organ donation and transplantation, aiming to uphold the organization’s commitment to excellence and a 100% mission success rate.
Since donating a kidney in 2018 at New York-Presbyterian, Michael has been dedicated to raising awareness about organ donation. He noted his enthusiasm for working with MN24, emphasizing the organization’s critical role in the transplantation process. “The transportation of organs and recovery teams is essential,” he said, highlighting the shared values of honoring donors and their families.
Dr. Sandip Kapur, Chief of Transplant Surgery at New York-Presbyterian, praised Michael’s transition into advocacy, calling it a testament to his passion for increasing transplant success rates. MN24 is committed to coordinating complex organ transplant logistics, collaborating with various stakeholders to streamline processes, reduce delays, and ultimately save more lives.
