Family Launches Foundation After Bruce Duncan III’s Organ And corneal Donations Save Lives
USA: A sudden death in a close-knit community produced both loss and lifesaving action when Bruce Duncan IIIβs organs and corneas were made available for transplant. His posthumous organ procurement led to five lives being saved through transplantation, and corneal donations restored sight to two individuals. The family is still awaiting the medical examinerβs report to determine the cause of death, even as they move to channel their sonβs generosity into ongoing community work.
In response to his passing, Bruceβs father and stepmother, Jennifer, used funds from a GoFundMe to create Little Bruceβs God Family Football Foundation. The foundation aims to remove financial barriers to youth sports participation by covering equipment and fees. Organizers estimate it costs roughly $400 to support one child through a football season, noting line-item expenses such as helmets ($150), shoulder pads ($75β$100) and cleats ($60). Initially the foundation will support about five children for the upcoming spring season, with plans to expand through business sponsorships and apparel fundraising.
