Speakers emphasize that donors can come from all ages and that not all donated tissues or organs are ruled out by chronological age; cornea donation, for example, can restore vision even when other organs are not viable. Pediatric need is highlighted: children represent roughly 2% of the national waiting list, more than 180 young patients in the country who rely on available donors for second chances at life.
