Jennifer, a nurse and military spouse who has spent much of her life caring for others, is now in urgent need of help herself as she waits for a life-saving kidney transplant.
Jennifer, whose blood type is B positive, has been on the transplant list for an extended period. She is currently listed for a transplant at Cleveland Clinic and UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.
A close friend, Sam, is helping spread the word in hopes of finding a compatible donor and encouraging others to share Jennifer’s story as widely as possible.
Because of the serious impacts of kidney failure, Jennifer has had to step back from her work as a nurse while she focuses on her health and recovery.
Friends say Jennifer has long been known for her compassion and commitment to helping others. In addition to her career in healthcare, she is a military spouse, a mother to two step-children, and a devoted dog mom.
Those supporting Jennifer say they hope that by sharing her story, they can help connect her with a living kidney donor.
