WORLD NEWS – POLAND: A disturbing incident that took place on June 14 in Lublin, Poland, initially sparked confusion and outrage after a video surfaced showing two naked Ethiopian men running through city streets. What began as a bizarre spectacle soon revealed a grim realityβ€”these men were victims of a violent human trafficking ring operating in the region.

On June 25, Polish authorities arrested four Ukrainian nationals suspected of running an international criminal network that kidnapped migrants under the pretense of offering safe passage from Russia and Belarus to Germany. According to investigators, the victims, including the two Ethiopians, were held captive, tortured, and filmed. These videos were then sent to their families, with demands for ransom payments in cryptocurrency. Should the families fail to pay, the gang reportedly intended to murder the victims and harvest their organs for sale on the black market.

The arrests took place during a coordinated operation on the S8 Expressway and in Lubusz Province. Three suspectsβ€”identified as Vladislav M. (24), Alexander S. (20), and Yelizaveta S. (41)β€”remain in custody, while a fourth accomplice, Malio R. (35), who played a supporting role in smuggling, was released on bail. Authorities believe the criminal enterprise has links to wider migrant trafficking networks and are investigating whether more victims may be involved.

This case has ignited concerns over security lapses tied to increased migration from war-torn Ukraine and other regions. Critics warn that organized crime groups are exploiting Poland as a transit hub, highlighting the need for stronger border enforcement. Polish and German officials have faced scrutiny over the handling of expelled Ukrainian nationals, some of whom, data suggest, pose serious threats to public safety and health.
