Emerald Coast kidney Walk Raises Funds For Transplant Support And Donor Awareness

USA: The Emerald Coast kidney Walk, organized by the National kidney Foundation of Florida in Bay County, drew participants Saturday to mark April’s Donate Life Month and to honor people affected by kidney disease. The event brought together transplant recipients, living donors, family members and community supporters to build connections and share resources.

Organizers said all proceeds remain in Florida to assist local patients with critical needs tied to kidney transplantation, including transportation, immunosuppressant drugs and other transplant medications. The walk also funds programs for people on dialysis and offers support groups and advocacy information to help those navigating long-term kidney care and transplantation.

Transplant recipients and donors joined the walk to increase public awareness about organ donation and living kidney donation, and to encourage more people to register as donors.
