Grand Rapids Couple Set to Unveil Transplant House Following Years of Dedication

Grand Rapids woman Holly Warline Gar, a liver transplant recipient, and her husband Tracy, a heart transplant recipient, have worked tirelessly to open the Transplant House of West Michigan to provide a home away from home for transplant patients and their loved ones. The house, located at the corner of Leonard and Fuller, will offer affordable accommodations for families receiving care on the medical mile. Thanks to community support and a Pay It Forward program, the house will be a place of comfort and healing for those going through the transplant journey. The official ribbon cutting will take place on June 29th, with opportunities to support the cause through donations and fundraising events.

Tonight, a Grand Rapids woman, Holly Warline Gar, commemorates the 18th anniversary of her life-saving liver transplant, marking a milestone in her transplant journey alongside her husband, Tracy, who himself received a heart transplant. Their shared dream has materialized into the “Transplant House of West Michigan,” located at the corner of Leonard and Fuller. The community room aims to bring people together, fostering a sense of comfort and companionship for those facing similar challenges. The facility will officially open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, June 29th, offering opportunities for the public to support their cause through donations or participation in fundraising events, highlighting the importance of organ donation and the impact of generosity in saving lives.
