Support A Fort Worth Chef In Need Of A Double Lung Transplant

An upcoming concert at the Ridglea Theater in Fort Worth is set to benefit chef Keith Hicks, who is in need of a double lung transplant. Hicks, who previously owned Buttons Restaurants in Fort Worth and across North Texas, was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder in 2019. Recently, doctors informed him and his wife, Heather, that he requires a double lung transplant. Despite the challenges he faces, Hicks maintains a positive attitude and continues to fight every day. The concert, organized by his partners and former employees at Buttons, aims to support Hicks and his journey to qualifying for the transplant list.

The event, called the Button’s Family Affair Concert, is scheduled for January 31st, with doors opening at 5 p.m. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online. The Hickses are grateful for the support and love they have received from the people around them, especially those whom Keith has cooked for over the years. The restaurant, Buttons, closed permanently during the COVID-19 pandemic. The couple remains hopeful despite the difficulties they are facing and appreciate the generosity of those organizing the concert in Keith’s honor.
