Partnership Enhances Bone Marrow Transplant Access For Patients In Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center (ADSCC) has formed a partnership with Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) to expand access to bone marrow transplants for patients in need. Through the Abu Dhabi Bone Marrow Transplant (ADBMT©) Program, ADSCC will provide medical consultations to patients referred by ERC’s medical committee. The partnership also involves joint fundraising initiatives to support and finance bone marrow transplant procedures for underprivileged patients.

The collaboration aims to offer critical treatments to individuals affected by blood cancers, blood disorders, and autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis. The ADSCC’s Abu Dhabi Bone Marrow Transplant program has been accredited as a Center of Excellence in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care and support throughout their treatment process.

The agreement, signed by His Excellency Mohammed Al Fahim and Dr. Maysoon Al Karam, represents the shared goal of both organizations to alleviate patient suffering and improve health outcomes. The partnership aligns with the UAE Red Crescent’s vision to enhance humanitarian partnerships with the healthcare sector and highlights the potential for strategic collaborations in healthcare. ADSCC’s commitment to collaborating with stakeholders across the nation reflects their dedication to expanding access to advanced medical treatments and pioneering solutions for diseases.
