Pasig City, Philippines — January 9, 2025: The Medical City (TMC) and Rizal Medical Center (RMC) have formalized a new partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to launch the Joint TMC-RMC Liver Transplant Program. This initiative represents a major advancement in the country’s response to the rising toll of liver disease, offering patients access to specialized care without the need to seek treatment abroad.
Designed to expand access to liver transplant services in the Philippines, the Joint TMC-RMC Liver Transplant Program also aims to confront persistent challenges surrounding organ donation. By combining TMC’s well-established transplant capabilities with RMC’s efforts to grow its hepatobiliary services, the partnership sets out to build a robust and comprehensive liver transplant and organ donation framework for Filipino patients.
