Webster Lacrosse Community’S “Green” Fundraiser Supports Student’S Kidney Transplant

In a heartwarming display of support, students from the boys varsity lacrosse teams at Webster Thomas and Webster Schroeder in New York wore green t-shirts during their game on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. The gesture was made in honor of Austin Tordai, a Webster Thomas student who is in need of a kidney transplant. Austin’s story has captured the attention of the community, rallying them to raise funds for his transplant.

The lacrosse game became an opportunity for the Webster lacrosse community to come together and show their support for Austin. The green t-shirts worn by the players served as a visual representation of their solidarity and willingness to help. Through fundraising efforts, the team and the community aim to raise the necessary funds to support Austin’s journey towards a kidney transplant.

Austin’s need for a transplant highlights the importance of organ donation and the impact it can have on individuals and their families. The support shown by the Webster lacrosse community not only raises awareness about Austin’s situation but also serves as a reminder of the power of unity and compassion in times of need.
