Rapid Health Improvement for Thomasville Teen with Second Kidney Transplant!

A 16-year-old boy from North Carolina, Jamar Frierson, received his second kidney transplant in May after waiting for three years. His condition is improving each day, and his family is grateful for his progress. Before the transplant, Jamar had to undergo dialysis three times a week for four hours, causing him to miss most of school. However, he has been able to attend class consistently for the first time in nearly three years since the transplant.

Jamar’s mother is optimistic about his health and hopes for a school year without hospitalizations. Jamar is excited about starting his tenth-grade year and is not deterred by the challenges he has faced due to his health. He plans to try out for basketball and track this school year as he continues to regain strength and connect with classmates.
