Atlanta rapper Killer Mike and his family are celebrating a successful kidney transplant for his son Michael “Pony Boy” Render. After waiting for three years, 21-year-old Render underwent surgery on Monday morning, according to TMZ. The news comes after Killer Mike’s arrest at the Grammy Awards, where he won three awards. The arrest followed a physical altercation with a female security officer who claimed to have been injured by Killer Mike. He was booked on a misdemeanor battery charge but has since been released. Killer Mike has referred to the incident as a “speed bump” and is scheduled to appear in court on February 29 in Los Angeles.
