Launching Organ Transplants at PGIMS, Rohtak: Haryana Health Minister Announces

Liver and kidney transplants will soon be available at PGIMS in Rohtak, Haryana, according to the state’s Health and Family Welfare Minister. The minister emphasized the government’s efforts to improve healthcare services in the state and ensure that residents do not need to seek medical treatment outside of Haryana. He also mentioned plans to provide ECG and X-ray facilities at every Primary Health Center (PHC) in the state. Additionally, the government is working to build a medical college in every district of Haryana and is increasing the budget for healthcare services.

The Haryana government is conducting mapping to gather information about the number of hospitals and doctors in the state, based on WHO parameters. The minister highlighted the government’s focus on providing quality healthcare by ensuring the use of WHO GMP approved medicines and US FDA certified equipment in government hospitals. Private hospitals are also being given opportunities to grow in Haryana, with the construction of a 1500-bedded hospital in Faridabad. The state has also made advancements in AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy) healthcare, with the establishment of the world’s first AYUSH University in Kurukshetra.
