Medicover Hospitals, in partnership with Orian City Care Hospital, organized Kidneython 2024, a marathon held at the Divisional Sports Complex in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, to mark World Kidney Day. The event brought together 65 kidney transplant patients and 36 kidney donors and aimed to showcase the potential for a fulfilling life after kidney transplantation. The participants, including Surekha Sanap and Rahul Jagannath Alhad, who completed the race despite their transplants, served as inspirations for others battling kidney disease. Dr. Sachin Soni, Nephrologist at Medicover Hospitals, emphasized the importance of lifestyle modifications after transplant and how they can help patients resume a normal life.
Apart from promoting physical activity, Kidneython 2024 also aimed to raise awareness about kidney health and the importance of early detection and preventive measures against kidney disease.
