Desperate Plea: Child In Cumberland County Needs Kidney Transplant! Please Help Us Share!

Huxley Morris, a child from Cumberland County, is in need of a kidney transplant. His parents, Johnathan and Kayla Morris, recently met with a kidney transplant team at Vanderbilt University to discuss their son’s condition. The transplant team informed them that Huxley, who currently weighs 20.19 pounds, needs to reach a minimum weight of 20 pounds to be eligible for the transplant.

Huxley’s parents have been working tirelessly to help him reach this weight goal. They have been given the green light to share a link for potential living donors who are interested in moving forward with the donor process. The ideal donor would have either Type B or Type O blood, with positive or negative blood types being acceptable. The age range for potential donors is 18-55.

Although Huxley has managed to avoid dialysis for two years, he is at a critical point where he may need to undergo the procedure if a suitable donor is not found soon. The family is urging people to come forward and get tested to see if they are a match for Huxley. The more potential donors they have, the faster Huxley can receive a kidney and improve his quality of life. If interested in being tested, individuals can click on the link provided to fill out the necessary information. Once submitted, the donation team will filter potential matches and contact the potential donors to move forward with testing. All medical bills will be covered for those who choose to donate.
