Cm Establishes Liver Transplant Center

The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, has announced plans to establish a liver transplant and bone marrow transplant center in the province. This decision was made during a high-level meeting attended by cabinet members, health experts, and officials. The initial liver transplant center will be set up at the Institute of Kidney Diseases in Peshawar, with plans to eventually relocate these facilities to Khyber Medical University. The meeting also discussed the establishment of an Institute of Neurosurgery at Fountain House Peshawar.

The main aim of the provincial government is to provide accessible liver and bone marrow transplant services to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating the need for them to seek treatment outside the province. Efforts are also being made to ensure round-the-clock availability of dialysis services in government hospitals equipped with such amenities and to introduce dialysis services in hospitals that currently lack them. According to the Chief Minister, these initiatives demonstrate the government’s commitment to prioritize the health and well-being of its citizens.
