Tampa General Hospital (TGH) recently received a generous $5 million gift from Blake Casper and his family to support the construction of a new Surgical, Neuroscience & Transplant Pavilion. This contribution has ignited the “Elevating Excellence” campaign with a goal to raise $100 million over five years, further transforming the academic health system and enhancing the region’s healthcare landscape. The Pavilion is a cornerstone of TGH’s Master Facility Plan and will include 136 additional in-patient beds, a new education and conference center, and a shell floor for future expansion. This large-scale construction project is part of TGH’s commitment to developing Tampa Bay’s first medical and research district to meet rising healthcare demands.
Casper, a longtime supporter and TGH Board member, is a dedicated advocate for the community and has witnessed first-hand the exceptional care provided by TGH’s team. His gift aims to assist TGH’s work in driving excellence, innovation, and community well-being in the years to come. The comprehensive Master Facility Plan and new Pavilion reflect TGH’s commitment to providing world-class care and developing Tampa Bay’s healthcare infrastructure, positioning the hospital as an epicenter of health and healing in the region.
